Embroidery Information
Languages: For Japanese, names will typically be translated using Japanese katakana characters, which are interpreted phonetically or with similar sounds. Most martial arts styles and other words will be translated using kanji characters which are interpreted literally or with meaning. There are two different fonts available for the Japanese / Chinese kanji. One is called Kai and the other is called Gyo. Please clarify any difficult pronunciation of names in the Special Instructions area of the order.
Thread: For belt embroidery, we use the same bobbin thread (bottom embroidery thread) color as
the top embroidery thread color. This means that the embroidery on the backside
of the belt will be the same color as the embroidery on the front, giving
the backside a consistent, uniform look. For metallic thread embroidery we use a matching non-metallic thread for the bobbin thread. We use only high quality Robison-Anton poly
embroidery thread.
Process: Soon after your uniform or belt embroidery order is placed, a layout will be sent for review and approval prior to
embroidery. Allow
about 4 weeks from the order date for layout and production. One-week production is also available as an option.
